Minister of State for Privatization Evelyn Anite has accused the NRM parliamentary candidate for Koboko constituency Mr Charles Ayume of being in bed with the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine).
Minister Anite claimed Thursday morning that she even told President Yoweri Museveni, the NRM Chairman that Mr Ayume was “in bed with Bobi Wine” and that the party needs to “quickly change the mobilization strategy” in Koboko.

This comes days after Mr Ayume was endorsed by Bobi Wine who was campaigning in Koboko on Tuesday.
Bobi Wine said at a big rally in the West Nile town that he had “studied Ayume for a long time” and found him inspiring.
“I know he will not say anything good about me but wherever he is, tell him that I support him,” he said, before calling for the People of Koboko to vote for him.
Mr Ayume is currently not at the best of terms with Ms Anite, having floored her in the September Party primaries.
Late last month, the Minister said that she would not support Ayume in the parliamentary race
“I cannot reassure anyone that I will support (him) Ayume; I only assure them that I support President Museveni. I am not under any obligation to support any candidate, it is freedom of choice,” she said.
She has instead elected to support an FDC leaning contestant in the Koboko race, one Charlese Yakani.
Bobi Wine’s decision to support NRM’s Ayume was quickly shrugged off by the ruling party as gimmick aimed at disorienting party members.
Minister of Gender Labor and Social Development Hon Frank Tumwebaze said the move was “a calculated spoiling tactic of the opposition against Mr Ayume and the NRM, intended to cause rifts among the NRM supporters in Koboko.
“NRM supporters should discern such tricks and reject them,” he said.
On his part, Mr Ayume said Bobi Wine has a right and liberty to endorse him but that the two couldn’t share values.
“We have different ideologies. He is NUP; I am NRM” Ayume told NBS.
