Entebbe Municipal Council has  signed a contract with China Jiangxi International and Technical Cooperation Co. Ltd worth Shs.40.8 billion to construct the 6.1 Km dilapidated Ssebugwawo Bunono -Abaita Ababiri -Kitinda Link road.  The contractor was given 18 months including mobilization time to complete the road construction works. The Ministry of Works and Transport has announced the temporary closure of Nakiwogo -Buwaya ferry effective Monday 6th January 2025. The closure according to the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Waiswa Bageya is intended to allow government conduct scheduled maintenance works so as to ensure continued safety and reliability. Mbale City Police are investigating circumstances under which a daylight robbery took place with a businessman losing 50 million shillings on Naboa Road. The incident, which occurred at around 11:30.am on Monday, 30th December, 2024 has raised lots of unanswered security questions.
