A massive fish project worth Shs 850 million is wasting away in the south western Kanungu district. The project was conceived in May 2017, when President Yoweri Museveni hosted in Nakasero, members of a youth group named Kanungu Youth Development or KAYODEA. A special crack unit of Uganda Police Force has conducted a raid on a property in Munyonyo, a Kampala suburb, apprehending suspected fraudsters. Officials say the operation targeted conmen involved in illicit gold trade. Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has rubbished allegations in both mainstream and social media that it fired some of its employees for allegedly clearing an armored vehicle for National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu. Earlier this week, Bobi Wine posted a black armored vehicle which he said was donated to him by generous supporters. Police in Kabale have in detention a 62-year-old man for marrying and sexually molesting his own under age ten-year-old daughter. Elly Maate, the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman identified the suspect as Gerevazio Tiryambwenu of Rwamukundi cell, Kirijime ward in Kabale municipality. Maate says that Tiryambwenu was arrested on Wednesday by police in collaboration with the senior probation officer Kabale district, Mrs Monica Muhumuza.
