Two Ugandans have been killed in an attack by suspected rebels of National Salvation Front (NAS) of Lt Gen Thomas Cirilo. They were reportedly ambushed over the weekend and their car burnt along Kaya-Yei road. Museveni’s presidential advisor on media issues and propagandist, Joseph Tamale Mirundi claims that People Power founder Bobi Wine could be working under the wings of former Prime Minister and presidential aspirant, John Patrick Amama Mbabazi. A man in Kalangala District has been handed a 30-year jail term for defiling his two biological daughters. Abdul Nyenje, 39, is a resident of Lwabaswa Island in Kalangala District. He was on Monday convicted and sentenced by Masaka Resident Judge, Ms Winfred Nabisinde on his own plea of guilt for defiling his nine and 14 year old daughters. Nyenje was arraigned in court on two counts of aggravated defilement and incest. The World’s Oldest Gorilla named Trudy has this week passed on. A spokeswoman for The Little Rock Zoo in Arkansas, US, said zookeepers found Trudy dead when they checked on her on Wednesday morning. Susan Altrui said Trudy was the oldest gorilla in the records of zoos accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, an international accrediting organisation.
