Uganda Airlines will have its maiden flight on Tuesday instead of Wednesday as earlier scheduled. The maiden flight will be for selected people who will include technical officers, government officials, and media. This was revealed by the Ministry of Works Spokesperson Susan Kataike. The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has established a partnership with Uganda Police Force to ensure private security companies comply with the remittance of social security contributions for their employees by making possession of NSSF clearance mandatory. Parliament in Uganda has passed a law that abolishes the mandatory death penalty for certain crimes, amending four different laws that had earlier prescribed capital punishment, including the Anti-Terrorism Act.
