The Mayor for Kasangati-Nangabo Town Council in Wakiso District, Mr Tony Sempebwa, has been arrested during the Hoima Municipality Woman parliamentary campaigns. Mr Sempebwa, who is a member of People Power movement, was arrested on Monday while campaigning for opposition candidate Asinasi Nyakato. According to Bunyoro Regional Police spokesman Julius Allan Hakiza, Mr Sempebwa was arrested for using a government vehicle during campaigns, which he said is against the electoral guidelines. Comedian and actor Kevin Hart was taken to hospital with “major back injuries” on Sunday following a car accident in Los Angeles. According to the California Highway Patrol, Hart was being driven in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda on Mulholland Highway at the time of the accident.
