


Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga has warned all Christians against being extravagant and wasteful in their lives. Archbishop Lwanga who was speaking at the confirmation of 12 new priests at the Kisubi Catholic Church noted that many of the Christians today have been consumed by worldly pleasures and have forgotten their creator.
These days many of you have abandoned your Christian values and are only interested in showing off and living extravagant lives. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga said.
He urged the 12 new confirmed priests five of whom were Rwandese to be disciplined and embrace evangelical poverty. He urged them to be obedient to the pope the head of the Roman Catholic Church and always be mirrors of Jesus Christ.
I appeal to you (priests) to be disciplined, humble and always observe the doctrine of celibacy because you have joined a vocation that requires total submission to God. Let your actions be exemplary and always seek God Protection. Archbishop Lwanga emphasized.
He also urged the Christians to utilize their time on developmental issues other than gossiping and judging others.
The 12 priests were confirmed as Brothers after undergoing a seminarian course at the Brothers of Christian Instruction Kisubi
Meanwhile Archbishop Lwanga hailed seven Brothers who marked their silver jubilee. He urged them to always seek prayers to carry on God’s work as well as have mercy and compassion on the poor.
The mass was graced by his eminence Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala and Buganda Kingdom Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga.
