The Algeria National Team has arrived at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole ahead of tomorrow’s match against the Uganda Cranes.
The 25-man squad, led by Algeria national team coach Vladimir Petkovic arrived at Namboole on Sunday evening to have a feel of the stadium, and have a warm-up session before their Monday clash.
Notable players in the Algerian lineup include goalkeeper Yassine Benzia, midfielders Yacine Brahimi, Nabil Bentaleb, and Ramiz Zerrouki, as well as defenders Youcef Atal and Aissa Mandi.
Algeria captain Riyad Mahrez, Dortmund left-back Rami Bensabaini and forward Youcef Belaili didn’t travel with the team, as they weren’t included in coach Petkovic’s 25-man squad.
Les Fennecs are coming off a 2-1 home loss to Guinea in their previous match played at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers on Thursday, June 6th.
They’ll be aiming to bounce back from the defeat when they face Group G counterparts Uganda tomorrow at 7pm. A win will move them to 9 points.
