    2015 National Schools Beach Soccer Championships: Namagabi S.S Clinches Third Consecutive Title.

    Mukono based Namagabi Secondary School won their third consecutive title at the fourth Edition of the National Schools Beach Soccer Championships that were held at Lido Beach Entebbe on Friday. Namagabi S.S beat Tagy High School 3-1 in the finals to be crowned 2015 Champions. Nsimbi Ashraf, Buyala Baker and Kisekka Sharif each scored a goal apiece for Namagabi S.S to win the title for a record third consecutive time. Tagy High School’s consolation goal came from Kassim Umar.

    “I’m glad that I have guided Namagabi S.S to their third consecutive title. I didn’t impart many skills in the players, I only instilled confidence and courage in them which they have been able to transfer onto the sand to win the title” Namagabi S.S Coach and Kayunga Town Council Beach Soccer Player Hamim Ssemakula remarked.

    This year’s championships only attracted five schools to which Beach Soccer head of competitions Katusiime Justus appealed to more schools to embrace the game. The matches were played under a round robin system. Each team played four games.

    Namagabi S.S and Tagy High School advanced to the finals after each side tied at six points each with a goal difference of 0 and 4 goals respectively. St. Mary’s Namaliga and Kyadondo S.S also tied at six points but with a goal difference of -4 and -2 goals respectively. Munta finished fifth with 4 points. All participating schools were awarded certificates of participation.
