Media personality Robin Kisti, real name Robinah Nambooza, has addressed allegations stating that she is a serial drug user.
Last year, Robin Kisti was arrested and taken to Luzira prison. Initial allegations suggested that she had been arrested for drug possession, a speculation Police later refuted, confirming that she was in jail for assaulting her neighbor.
Kisti, during an interview with Sanyuka TV, denied the claims, noting that the accusations were being spread by someone she said has intentions of tarnishing her name before the public.
She claimed that the internet picked up the rumor because the accuser had a huge following and the rumor easily caught people’s attention. Contrary to the claims, she denied ever being in rehabilitation for drug use.

“It was absurd because that person has a huge following so Uganda branded me that way. But I do not use any drugs nor have I ever been in rehab. No one has ever complained about me using drugs. A drug abuser cannot sit still during an interview like this.
All the rumors they spread about me that I abuse drugs, I am on screen doing all these interviews and people watching me. It is just that a person who wanted to smear my name had a big name,” she said.
