Socialite Bad Black, real name Shanitah Namuyimbwa, has confessed that she doesn’t regret scamming people, but she regrets how she misused the money she got.
Years back, the Anti-Corruption Court convicted Bad Black of fraud and sentenced her to four years in Luzira prison alongside her co-conspirator Meddie Ssentongo for conspiring to embezzle over 10 billion Ugandan shillings from British ex-lover, David Greenhalgh.
Bad Black was known for her extravagant lifestyle on the social scene, owning luxury cars and spending her time in high-end bars, where she splashed money.
During her recent interview with Galaxy FM, she described this lifestyle as her biggest financial mistake, citing that she would have done better if she had known what she knows now.
Bad Black revealed that she was surrounded by illiterate people who never advised her about appropriately using the money, and she ended up wasting it.

“Getting that $4 million; It just happened to me. I was there without any plan in life then I met money suddenly. I used to sing and withdraw $10K a day. Nothing caused me so much trouble like those cheques I signed. And the people I had around me were as ignorant and clueless as me,” she said.
Despite her imprisonment, Bad Black revealed that she didn’t regret the actions that led her behind bars, acknowledging that her time in prison only made her sharper and upped her game.

In 2013, she said she got another 1 million dollars and among the things that she spent the money on was her lavish birthday party at Kingdom Kampala, which hosted different celebrities.
“It is not that I have not made any money since then; I have been getting large sums of money occasionally. I have access to get even more and if you are to count [poor people, I’m not among them,” she said.
