As anticipation reaches fever pitch ahead of the Miss Universe Uganda Grand Finale at Kampala’s Imperial Royale Hotel, one contestant continues to stand out for all the right reasons.
Sureya Umeimah has earned the admiration of many, not only for her elegance on stage but for the purpose that drives her beyond the competition.
For Sureya, the Miss Universe Uganda journey has never been solely about wearing a crown. It has been about using her voice to encourage young girls to believe that their dreams are achievable, regardless of where they come from.
With her sights firmly set on a career as a commercial pilot, Sureya hopes to inspire more young women to pursue professions that have traditionally been out of reach. She believes that every girl deserves the confidence to dream boldly and the opportunity to turn those dreams into reality.
Central to her advocacy is a commitment to education. Sureya is passionate about ensuring girls remain in school and is a strong champion for greater participation in STEM subjects: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

By encouraging girls to embrace these fields, she hopes to help shape a future where more women lead in innovation, technology and aviation.
As the lights prepare to shine on the Miss Universe Uganda stage, Sureya enters the finale with the support of a growing fan base and a mission that extends far beyond the pageant.
