Ugandans are mourning the unforeseen tragedy that saw over 23 kids lose their lives in a road accident after their tour experience.
A few days back, King David Junior School learners embarked on a tour to explore the beauty of Eastern Uganda, build team spirit, and create memorable experiences.
Yesterday, the learners concluded their tour and embarked on their journey back to their Ndejje-based school.
Unfortunately, they experienced a road accident when their Isuzu bus (registration number UA 108BQ reportedly experienced mechanical issues, at Chekwatit Village Kimawa Parish and claimed the lives of over 23 children, including the school director, Mr. Tadeo Ssekadde.
The injured were rushed to nearby health facilities, including Kapchorwa Hospital, Kaserem HC IV, Muyembe HC IV, and Mbale Regional Referral Hospital for medical attention.
This morning, parents have converged at King David Junior school to check on the well-being of their children. Amid the somber atmosphere, netizens have sympathized with the parents, sending messages of condolences and praying that God comforts them during the challenging situation.
