Veteran singer Mesach Semakula has opened up about some of the reasons why the once-celebrated band Eagles Production failed after 18 successful years.
Mesach Semakula, while speaking to journalists, revealed that as a group, they had misunderstandings that eventually led to their split. While they were starting, he claimed that they were all young with minor problems in life.
Through it all, because there were not many members in the group, the little money that they earned would accommodate them and also cover their needs in life, and not at any one moment did they disagree over money, as they all agreed on where it was being spent.
“When we started, we had a few problems, and we were few, and the group could accommodate us. We would easily pay money to pay for any of the members’ rent, and we all agreed to it. Even if one of us wanted to buy something like a piece of land, we would agree to put money together and do it. We were happy to do this, and at no point did we get disagreements over sharing,” he said.

However, when they advanced, they not only got more members but also took on more responsibilities in life, marking the start of having disagreements over money.

Mesach also believes that their downfall was largely caused by rumors amongst people who didn’t want to see them together.
“But time came, and we became very many, and those we called kids had grown up and had different needs than wea slaps had. They wanted their kids to go to the same schools ours were going to. And this is understandable because we had done well musically and they deserved the money,” he said.
