    It was indeed a collation of clashes on Sunday when the 2nd leg of the Castle Lite National Beach Volleyball Tour got underway at Lido beach with some top stars returning to their winning ways.
    Emma Kato and Dheyongera Nicholas notched their second Gold of the season following their straight win in the men’s final against Uganda’s Under-21 team of Isiagi Elias & Malinga Kathbert (2-0) 21-18, 21-16.
    The mean looking youth Isiagi and Malinga were the day’s surprise after earlier edging out top seeds Okello Ambrose & Otim Dickens (2-1)14-21, 21-14, 15-10 at the semifinal while the Kato’s stopped seasoned duo of Nsubuga Hannington / Omedo Isaac ( 2-1) 12-21, 21-18, 15-10 in
    other heated semifinal. In the women’s category Agaba Diana and Nammanda Josephine returned to
    winning ways outwitting every opponent from the start and ending the stubborn hard fighting team of Buyungo Shilla / Amuron Eunice in the final 2-0) 22-20, 21-18 also drawing their second Gold of the season.
    Agaba and Nammanda had earlier at semifinal beaten Tabitha Mercy / Nakalema Hafsa (2-1) 26-28, 21-16, 15-11 whereas the Buyungo’s had beaten Busingye Peace / Kagoya Zaina (2-1) 21-10, 12-21, 15-7 in the other semifinal. All the four semifinals ended in tie breaks indicating a more competitive posture as more stars emerge. 34 teams took part in the two day event paving way for the 2nd last local tour on the 8th and 9th of November before hosting the Castle Lite East African Tour later, on 6th & 7th December 2014. The President and Vice President Uganda Volleyball Federation Sadik Nasiwu and Godwin Ssenyondo graced the awards ceremony.
