A policeman attached to the Aviation Police in Entebbe has killed himself.
The officer identified as Police Constable Nyeko Bosco Mwaka is said to have shot himself in the head last night.
The incident is believed to have happened in the night at an unknown time with in the police barracks at Entebbe Airport.
According to Kampala Metropolitan police spokesman Luke Owoyesigire, the body was discovered Monday morning with a bullet wound that went through the chin to the head.
“It has been conveyed to city mortuary at Mulago for a post-mortem,” the police spokesman said.
“One bullet cartridge and a note addressed to the deceased’s mother have been recovered. They have been submitted for analysis to our Forensics Directorate.”
