Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) in partnership with the Uganda Aeronautical Information Service Officer’s Association (UGAISOA) has organized a charity run dubbed ‘Aviation Run 2019’ in celebration of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) 75 years of existence and the proceeds from the Aviation Run will be used to equip the emergency unit of Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital. The Aviation Run is slated to take place on Sunday, November 10, 2019, starting at 7 am.
Kits cost Shs 25,000 each and are readily available at UCAA Head Office Entebbe, Kampala Liaison Office 7th Floor Workers House, Entebbe International Airport Information Desk and EMCOS House Katabi.
“The event is unique because the proceeds generated through the run will be used to support a charitable health initiative to further equip Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital’s intensive care unit. The marathon is geared towards emphasizing aviation’s role in connecting the world as part of global celebrations to involve stakeholders in commemorating ICAO’s 75th Anniversary activities,” UCAA Deputy Director-General Fred Bamesigye emphasized in a Press Release.
