The two rival groups are led by incumbent Entebbe Municipality Division B Boda Boda (EDIBBA)  chairman Katunguka Joseph Saidi codenamed “Team Saidi” and the other group is led by People power candidate Sulaiman Ssegirinya codenamed “Team Kalevu”.
The two rival groups clashed today (Thursday) during nominations of both candidates at the Division B offices  ahead of the election on Friday (June 28) at Comprehensive S.S in Nakiwogo..
Both rival groups traded accusations & counter accusations after people power candidate Ssegirinya Sulaiman  was stopped by the police from holding a procession to Kigungu with his supporters where he was scheduled to address his supporters. However, Saidi whom the people power group was accusing of conniving with the police was also blocked from holding a procession.
Supporters from the  rival groups turned rowdy and clashed. The police & LDU guys contained the rowdy supporters from both camps after they were threatening to jump on each others throats.
“Team Kalevu” has accused incumbent chairman Katunguka Joseph Saidi of overstaying in office because he is seeking a third term in office. Team Kalevu has also accused Saidi Katunguka Joseph of stealing unspecified amounts of money from the Boda Boda association Account.
