Grief and shock engulfed residents of Nakiwogo zone, Division (B) in Entebbe Municipality on Wednesday after Sarah Nampala a wife to Robert Bugimbi died under unclear circumstances. Sarah Nampala breathed her last as she was being rushed to Grade B Hospital following a bloody fight on Tuesday afternoon with her co-wife identified as Harriet Nankya who beat her up and sustained several injuries.
Neighbours revealed that early this year Robert Bugimbi a builder and a landlord hooked up Harriet Nankya and gave her one of his one-roomed apartment to reside in located next to his marital home. Since then the two women have been having endless fights and squabbles after Robert Bugimbi decided to show Nankya Harriet more love in addition to frustrating his first wife. For the last couple of months, the deceased has been seeking help from close friends and Nakiwogo LC1 authorities to have her co-wife kicked out of the house because together with her husband they have been torturing her psychologically and physically. Residents disclosed that the deceased has been selling paraffin to survive and yet her co-wife has been sitting at home doing a lot of nothing enjoying the man’s cash.
The Entebbe OC CIID Zachariah Mbabazi condemned the act and revealed that the co-wife was to be kicked out of the house today but unfortunately Sarah Nampala died early in the morning. Zachariah disclosed that both Robert Bugimbi and Harriet Nankya are behind bars at Entebbe Police Station and have been charged with murder because reports indicate that there has been domestic violence in the home. The body of the deceased was taken to Mulago Hospital for a postmortem. The deceased is survived by two children Nsubuga Raymond (12), Ritah Nakalumba (9) and two weeks old baby.
