
Entebbe Sadolin Mongers overcame their 12-6 margin against Rhinos in the first half to secure a 20-20 draw at Entebbe S.S Grounds also known as the House of Payne on Saturday. Rhinos’ Stallone Arinaitwe scored a try that was converted by Kevin Makmot. Rhinos sealed their 12-6 first half victory thanks to Abel Ssozi’s try. Adrian Wasswa scored the two penalties for Mongers. Kevin Makmot and Scott Olwoch opened the second half with a penalty and a try for Rhinos however Mongers managed to cancel their early smiles and Jubilations after Lauren Kalule scored a try that Adrian Wasswa superbly converted. Adrian Wasswa spoilt Rhinos’ party after he scored and converted his second try.
“We conceded to Mongers because of bad fielding and lack of support but I’m confident we shall bounce back because the errors can be worked upon”, Rhinos head Coach Brian Makalama told entebbenews.
“My Players veered off the original game plan and that’s why we conceded two tries in the first half. I’m happy that the introduction of Andrew Olweny in the second half boosted and re-energized the team’s confidence. None the less we are grateful for the draw”, Kigongo Sebalamu told entebbenews.
Mongers will face Pirates on Saturday in an early lunch time kick off at the Legends Club while Rhinos will take on Kobs at 4:30pm.
