The first ever Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructural Development (USMID) Good Governance awards that were scheduled to be held last week on Friday flopped miserably after the organizer and senior Assistant Town Clerk Dan Fred Lutaaya failing to get resources including cash to organize the award ceremony. The Municipal Top Boss has gone silent with no answers to tell the public after his idea hitting a snag and going to the dogs just like that. It’s not yet clear when the ceremony will take place however we have highly established that event organizer Dan Fred Lutaaya is fighting tooth and nail to get resources and dime to organize the function. Several personalities including RDC Rose Kirabira, Karim Hirji and former Mayor Stephen kabuye have been nominated to scoop prestigious awards.
