Eight government ministry cars were on Tuesday morning impounded at the Entebbe Police Traffic over several related offences including reckless driving and lack of valid driving permits. The Kampala Metropolitan South Traffic Police Commander Mable Asingirwe together with her boys mounted a crack down and impounded the eight government cars after the drivers were found without proper driving licenses. And to make matters worse the government vehicles have been doing a lot of unofficial work including transporting charcoal and Matooke which according to government laws and regulations is illegal. The drivers of the vehicles are breathing behind bars and will be paraded in the courts of law. The Kampala Metropolitan South Traffic Police Commander Mable Asingirwe confirmed the arrests and indicated that there has been a serious public outcry over the government ministry cars causing chaos on the roads in Entebbe. She said that the operation and crackdown will continue until sanity returns on Entebbe Road.
