    Resurgent St. Lawrence University piled more misery on Kampala City All stars that have now lost their three opening matches in a row. St. Lawrence thrashed the city stars 8-0 in a thrilling beach soccer match that was held at the Lido Beach Entebbe on Saturday. Kalyowa Emma netted a hatrick while Phillip Lwezawula and Kiggundu Swalleh each scored a brace. Lukooya Baker sealed the day with the eighth goal.

    Kampala city stars coach Semogerere Mukiibi attributed the consecutive losses to inexperience in his players.

    “The team is new in the Beach soccer league and lack the experience and skills of the game but our main target this season to avoid relegation” Mukiibi told entebbenews.

    He added: We conceded eight goals because some of our players haven’t been around. Some of the players are injured while the rest had other engagements and therefore couldn’t make it on time for the match.

    Makerere University Business School (MUBS) defeated Kayunga Town council 4-1 to grab their second win of the season. Kawawulo Isma scored a hat trick for the 2013/14 champions while Shaban Omara netted the other. Joel Isabega scored the consolation goal for Kayunga.

    Elsewhere in the Hurriken group Nkumba select outsmarted Buwanika Bulls in 9-3 goals galore match. Senteza Kassim, Somoka Roch, Muwamu Faizal and Douglas Muganga all scored braces while Derrick Kyambadde crowned the day for the Entebbe based side with a single goal.  Miami Kops beat Talented 6-5. Kisakye Denilson and Sam Bbosa each scored a hat trick. Allan Kayiwa netted all the five goals for his Talented side.

    In the Monsoon group Kabalagala rangers defeated KIU 5-4 in extra time. Kaggwa Hassan (01), Walugembe Edirisa (01) and Jackson Ochieng (03) were on the score sheet for Kabalagala. KIU’s goals came from Isaac Isoke (03) and Kyobe Sempa (01). Stormers and Dalumba settled for a 3-all draw while Uhuru Titans edged Muteesa I Royal University 4-3. YMCA beat Real Galacticos 2-1. Bunkedeko Ali and Semakula Hamim scored the two goals. John Revita scored the consolation goal for Galacticos. The league resumes on October 4.

    Chaos Overshadows Women Beach Soccer Tourney.

    What had started as a peaceful beach soccer women’s league kickoff on Sunday ended in chaos between Muteesa I Royal ladies and she –corporates. The dispute arose after referee Bruno Kiyemba disallowed one of Muteesa I Royal ladies’ goals and yet the other line referee George Bakiwanye accepted it. Muteesa ladies pounced on Referee Bruno and threw him in the water after he disallowed their goal and didn’t give them any convincing reason. Beach soccer management will decide on the matter.

    In other games She-Corporates beat Entebbe Ladies 6-1, Talented lost to She-corporates 1-4 while Muteesa I Ladies beat Entebbe Ladies 4-1. All the matches were played on a round robin system.
