    72 Year Old Entebbe Woman Accuses Wagagai Flower Farm of Grabbing Her Land

    A 72 year- old woman identified as Zainab Kajoyina, has accused management of Wagagai Flower Farm of grabbing her piece of land measuring 2 acres in Nkumba Bufulu zone in Katabi Town Council, Wakiso district.

    A 72 year- old woman identified as Zainab Kajoyina, has accused management of Wagagai Flower Farm of grabbing her piece of land measuring 2 acres in Nkumba Bufulu zone in Katabi Town Council, Wakiso district.

    The disputed piece of land is on Block 448 plot no:39 at Nkumba Bufulu cell in Katabi Town Council, Wakiso district.

    The old woman who was in company of her villagemates on Friday August 22,2025, staged a peaceful demonstration and matched to the flower farm accusing management of allegedly grabbing her land before turning it into a football playground.

    The area vice chairperson, Mr. Abdul Kasule, revealed that the poor old woman is currently sleeping in a makeshift structure which is in deplorable condition or inhabitable.

    Mr. Steven Lubowa , who claims to be among the land occupants who got powers of attorney in 2001 from the original land owner, the late Hajj Twaib Mukasa told reporters that Wagagai flower farms illegally occupied the disputed land and has never compensated the old woman not even a single penny.

    In her humble appeal, the poor old woman has called on government and the Wakiso Resident District Commissioner to urgently intervene to solve the matter.

    However, when contacted Mr. Joseph Balondemu, the Human Resource Manager Wagagai Flower Farm declined to comment on the land dispute saying the matter is before Court awaiting court determination.
