Two young men and two women were arrested walking along Kiwafu road on their way to the Deputy Resident District Commissioner Haji Njuki Mbabali’s office to demand for food for their families and stomachs.

Samuel Batambira, a renowned community activist and three others including Bukenya Peterson, Mirembe Justine, and Sarah Namukasa were arrested rioting and walking on the streets with placards with wordings demanding for food.
The police arrested the group and detained them at Kiwafu police post before rushing them to Entebbe police main station where they were charged with two counts including inciting violence and others under file under SD: REF 56/19/05/2020.

Democratic Party spokesperson, Maggwa Ssali condemned the act in which the activist and group were arrested and yet it’s their fundamental right to demand for food.
