A 22 year old man was on Tuesday evening shot bullets by a police officer who was ordered to arrest him after two police cases were reported against him at the Nakiwogo police station. Ssikyomu Gideon Babungi, resident of Lugonjo Nakiwogo was shot bullets in the chest in a running battle with a police officer attached to the Nakiwogo landing site police station identified as Richard Opus. The deceased was shot bullets in a nasty scuffle with police officers after he failed to pay over one thousand five hundred shillings (shs1500/=) for the ‘kikomando’ he had ordered for and enjoyed the previous evening(Monday). And after enjoying his meal, he refused to pay any coin and walked away after pulping the chapati man identified as Wasswa Moses who reported the matter to police after being assaulted in the bloody scuffle. The Lugonjo LC I Chairman Paul Zikuliza confirmed the gun shooting and warned young people to desist from crime especially the swagger attackers gang that have become a nuisance in the area and are terrorizing residents and giving them sleepless nights.
