10 man Express tax URA as Police condemn Kyetume

Express lost the services of rock solid defender Murushid Juuko who was sent off for a foul on winger Joackim Ojera after a second bookable offence.

  • Kyetume 0-3 Police

Match day 16 of the 2020-21 Star Times Uganda Premier League officially climaxed with two matches in Kampala and Buikwe districts on Saturday, April 3, 2021.

A ten man Express side overcame Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) 3-1 at the Bet Way Mutesa II Memorial stadium, Wankululuku.

Eric Kambale scored twice and Godfrey Lwesibawa got the other goal for a dominant Express, all goals coming in the first half.

URA pulled back a goal through striker Steven Desse Mukwala for his 10th goal of the campaign.

Express lost the services of rock solid defender Murushid Juuko who was sent off for a foul on winger Joackim Ojera after a second bookable offence.

The Red Army remains third on the log (35 points) with just a point separating them from the Vipers and URA (both on 36 points).

Meanwhile, Police out-witted Kyetume 3-0 at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru in Buikwe district.

Defender Hassan Muhamood as well as two forwards Ben Ocen and Brian Mululi scored the goals for Police on the road.

Muhammod scored the opener after 11 minutes to give the 2005 Uganda Premier League champions the lead.

Two second half goals by Ocen and Mululi completed the misery of Kyetume, christened as the Slaughters.

This was Kyetume’s last home game at the FUFA Technical Center after FUFA, the local football governing body okayed their primary home fortress at the Nakisunga Ssaza play ground.

The league takes a week’s break to allow the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32.
