Socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan has announced the end of her marriage to Shakib Lutaaya after five years together.
Taking to her social media platforms, Zari released a statement, revealing that they had parted ways after irreconcilable differences. While it wasn’t an easy decision for both parties, she claimed that it was only right.
Despite parting ways, Zari emphasized that there was no resentment between them, citing that they had simply grown in different directions.
“5 years later, after much thought and reflection, we believe it is best for us to part ways due to irreconcilable differences. While this wasn’t an easy decision, we feel it is the right one for both of us.We appreciate the time we shared, the memories we created, and the support we gave each other. There is no anger or resentment, sometimes two people simply grow in different directions.We value each other and remain friends with mutual respect and understanding. We sincerely wish each other happiness, success, and all Zarinah & Shakib,” she posted.
Zari and Shakib officially tied the knot on 3rd October, 2023, in South Africa after dating for over a year. Their wedding was an exclusive invite-only event, and it featured only a small group of friends and family.

When contacted via phone interview, Shakib denied having prior knowledge of the breakup. He revealed that he got the information from social media and was shocked, just like anyone else. He promised to comment on the matter further after settling down and analyzing the situation.
