Renowned media personalities Zambaali Bulasio Mukasa, Tuff B, Victoria Bagaaya, and Charles Mwanguha have today resigned from their duties at Next Media to focus on their political careers.
Ahead of the Uganda 2026 general elections, several public figures have shown interest in representing their constituents in parliament, including employees from Next Media.
Joining the list are four of Next Media’s journalists, who are determined to shun the screen for parliamentary seats.
The development comes following rumors of suspending Zambaali Bulasio Mukasa and Victoria Bagaaya over announcing their political ambitions.
According to reports, being involved in active politics while still a Next Media employee is contrary to the established guidelines, hence their suspension.

Earlier today, however, the Naguru-based outlet formally laid off its four employees, wishing them the best in their 2026 political endeavors.
Next Media made the announcement via its official Twitter/X handles, revealing that their time with the establishment has been part of a shared journey of informing and transforming communities.
