A few days back, London-based promoter Mama Africa accused Swangz Avenue singer Winnie Nwagi and Fik Fameica of breaching their contracts.

The two artists jetted into London ahead of Mama Africa’s just concluded “summer fest” on Eid day.

The pair performed at the event, but the promoter claims the former got to the venue late and performed a few songs contrary to the agreement leading to the flopping of her event.

Mama Africa revealed that Winnie and Fic performed at another show dubbed “Chill and Grill” using her work permit, hence breaching their contracts.

Since the promoter paid Swangz Avenue £ 50,000 to book Winnie Nwagi, she demands compensation of £ 65,000 for the losses she incurred or the label risks banning its artists from accessing London again.

Addressing the accusations, Winnie Nwagi took to her Instagram live broadcast, revealing that Mama Africa’s claims are untrue and baseless.

Winnie revealed that due to a long flight, she reached London very late, and the promoter took so long to pick them up from the airport.

Upon reaching her hotel room, her attire was messed up and she had to improvise in order to make her way to the event venue on time.

Winnie acknowledged getting to Royal Regency late but attributed this to poor event management since there was no car to get her to the event on time.

The singer blamed Mama Africa for being arrogant, disrespectful and paying bloggers to attack her.

Nwagi rubbished claims that she sang at “Chill and Grill”, saying she is under the most serious record label so she can’t perform at someone’s show without a formal agreement.

The “Mataala” star warned fellow artists against being booked by Mama Africa, saying she is still new in the business, and clueless about how to handle musicians.
