City pastor and gospel musician, Wilson Bugembe has apologized to Bobi Wine for altering a line in his song for his yet-to-be released song.

Wilson Bugembe made the revelation during his sermon at his Worship House Ministries church, Nansana, where he encouraged the congregation to always give testimonies and thank God for what he has done in their lives.

He said this in relation to a gospel song that he says was still in the studio but would be released very soon. In the song, Pr. Bugembe said he was preaching about the power of testimony and thanksgiving.

“If God does something big for you, stand up and testify. Someone near you might be thinking that it is the power of witch doctors or just luck. The song encourages you to come up and speak out so that we chase the devil far away,” he said.

Having lived through the experience of being homeless, jiggers in his feet and sleeping on the streets, Wilson Bugembe felt the conviction to testify to God for how far he had come.

It was then that he started penning down the lyrics of this song, and he drew inspiration from Bobi Wine’s Bikwase Kyagulanyi song, fixing the same chorus in his song but changing a line saying that God brought him this far.

“To Mr. Bobi, I want to apologise in advance for changing that line in my song and removing all that you said, and I fixed God there. I didn’t ask for your permission, but I know you are also here because of God. If you hear this song, you should know that I have apologized before the song is even out,” Bugembe said.
