Veteran singer Master Parrot was laid to rest today, 3 June 2026, been laid to rest after losing his life in a terrible road accident along the Northern Bypass.
On 1 June 2026, Master Parrot was knocked by a speeding car as he attempted to cross the road around Masanafu, along the Kampala Northern Bypass.
Parrot’s death was a shocker to many, who took to social media to express their condolences and their past experiences with him.
A vigil was held last night at her parents’ home in Kiwatule, where the music industry stakeholders converged to pay their last respects to the lost member.
Owing to the prevailing Ebola scare around the country, Parrot’s remains were not paraded at the National Theatre for public viewing, much to his fans’ disappointment.

Amid tears and sorrow, Master Parrot was transported to Kamengo, Butembe, Mpigi, where he was laid in his eternal resting home.
The burial generated crowds from walks of life, and among the notable faces were Eddy Kenzo, Ragga Dee, Emma Carlos, Mesach Ssemakula, Sam and wife Sofie Gombya, David Lutalo, Aziz Azion, and Hilderman, among many others.
