Effective today, Uganda Airlines will launch its much expected flights between Entebbe and Johannesburg.
The route will initially be served four times a week with flights leaving Entebbe every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The return flights from Johannesburg will leave South Africa after a short layover.
Uganda Airlines is currently serving Nairobi, Mombasa, Juba, Bujumbura, Mogadishu, Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, and Kinshasa.
Next Uganda Airlines will fly to Dubai, to be followed by flights to London and Guangzhou. Additional destinations in Africa are also under planning to further widen connectivity out of and into Entebbe.
In December 2020, the carrier has taken delivery of its first A330neo, the latest version of the most popular widebody airliner. It is the first Airbus aircraft delivered to Uganda Airlines, which was established in 2019.
