Earlier this year, Ugaboys, consisting of Sulaiman Malinga and Musingi Muhammed, found themselves at the center of a heated online argument with Pallaso. This was ignited following their view on the state of Ugandan music, where they castigated Pallaso for not delivering on his collaboration with Konshens ‘Want Money.’
In his response via his social media platforms, Pallaso referred to them as ‘Amapiano clowns’, which started a back-and-forth exchange.
A year later, while addressing the issue on NRG Radio, the Ugaboys revealed that they had since made peace and moved past their differences. The reconciliation happened at the end of last year when Harmonize visited Uganda.
The Tanzanian star collaborated with Pallaso and the Ugaboys, but their studio sessions clashed. He asked the Ugaboys who had come in first to decide who was to record with him first, and as they were having the discussion, Pallaso walked into the room at Speke.
They exchanged pleasantries and confronted each other about why they had previously fought online. The Ugaboys confessed that they realized they had made a mistake by attacking him and apologized. They even granted him a pass to record with Harmonize before using their own machines.

“We found ourselves in the same space at Speke with Harmonize. Pallaso asked us why we were making noise yet we looked peaceful in person. We also learnt he was a peaceful man and decided we wanted to return the favor. We realized that maybe we had said too much that angered him so we looked for a way to make amends. We then decided to support him on his project with Harmonize. We gave him our session because he had an album coming up,” they said.
The Ugaboys further preached peace as the only way to advance the music industry.

“That is what we need as an industry. Imagine their song goes big beyond borders, and we need a favor, he cannot refuse because of the gesture. He in turn cannot refuse to promote our songs,” they said.
