Turkish Airlines is set to launch direct, non-stop flights from Istanbul to Entebbe International Airport in July 2025.
This development is expected to enhance connectivity between Uganda and Turkey, fostering increased trade, tourism, and cultural exchange. The direct flights will provide travelers with a more convenient and efficient travel option, eliminating the need for layovers and reducing total travel time.

The introduction of these flights is anticipated to benefit both business and leisure travelers, offering improved access to Istanbul’s strategic location as a hub connecting Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. This move aligns with Turkish Airlines’ ongoing efforts to expand its global network and strengthen its presence in Africa.
Ugandan authorities have welcomed this initiative, highlighting its potential to boost the country’s economy by attracting more tourists and facilitating smoother business operations. The direct flights are also expected to enhance bilateral relations between Uganda and Turkey, opening new avenues for collaboration and investment.
