Tooro King Oyo’s body arrived in Uganda today, Friday, 04 August 2026 arrived in Uganda following his death in the US.
A few days back, the Tooro Kingdom officially announced the death of King Oyo, following a prolonged illness that claimed his life.
Following the sad news, preparations to return his body commenced, and he was received at Entebbe Airport by kingdom officials, family, and other dignitaries.
During the body receiving ceremony, President Museveni was in attendance and paid his last respects to the fallen King.

The body was subsequently airlifted from Entebbe to Humura Grounds in Kyegegwa District, before being transported to Karuziika Palace in Fort Portal City
