Veteran singer Stecia Mayanja has opened up about her recent health complications, denying allegations that it was a public stunt.
A month ago, Stecia was rushed to Nakasero Hospital in a worrying state after experiencing health challenges, with reports claiming that she was complaining of a severe headache and was bedridden for some days.
The sad news was followed by rumors on social media, which claimed that she was on a publicity stunt to get her trending in the news. ,
Stecia, during her interview, denied the allegations, revealing she was indeed critically ill. While others resort to stunts to make headlines for their upcoming releases, the singer noted that she was already a household name in the industry and didn’t need stunts to promote it.

“What would I gain from doing stunts? I already have a name and I’m not looking for anything. It is not like I was looking for someone to give me money. If I was doing a stunt, did I start soliciting for any money from you? What was that stunt all about? People say that you should learn how to use common sense; I know it is hard but just try and use your brains to develop your country. Even when I’m to release a song, I can never do a stunt because I have seen it and done it all,” she said.
