Ever since Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebire the former governor of the Bank of Uganda succumbed, the government has not yet found anyone suitable to fill the left gap.
This has compelled controversial socialite Olim Charles alias Sipapa to launch his campaign in a bid to execute the governorship duties.
Speaking in an interview with Spark Tv, Sipappa revealed that his reign in office will be characterised by economic prosperity.
Among his first issues to tackle, Sipapa stressed that he will curb the skyrocketing fuel prices, to make them affordable to low-income earners.
Sipappa urged teachers who are striking for better payment to stop and embark on a campaign such that he reigns as the governor.
In appreciation for the services teachers render to this country, the socialite vowed to pay them UGX 15-20M.
The businessman further hinted at launching a money-burning festival, where old notes will be set ablaze in different parts of the country in presence of the citizens.
Additionally, Sipapa promised to import the money printing machine into the country, and each citizen will have to earn millions at the end of every month.
However, netizens have based on Sipapa’s controversial background and advised him to keep this as a joke, as he can’t bag this role.
