Renowned socialite Sheilah Gashumba has joined the growing roster of female DJs in the Ugandan entertainment industry following the launch of her DJ career.
Over the years, Sheilah Gashumba has expressed a desire to supplement her TV and events hosting careers with a deejaying career.
Her deejaying journey stems from the Covid-19 lockdown, and she engaged in one-on-one classes with DJ Ediwizzy Selekta.
Despite her busy work schedule, Sheilah Gashumba sought DJ career training at the Rise Academy in Johannesburg in 2024, one of Africa’s premier DJ schools.
The process refined her equipment and digital software skills, transforming her lifelong passion for music into a professional craft.
Her signature sound spans Amapiano, afro, deep house, and afrobeats, among others. She promises sets nothing short of immersive, vibrant, and uniquely African.
