Sheikh Umar Kamoga has responded to questions regarding the authenticity of his duwas, encouraging them to refer to the unfortunate events that happened to Mohammed Ssegirinya, which led to his death.
Over a year after former Member of Parliament Mohammed Ssegirinya was laid to rest, his arch-nemesis Sheikh Umar is back to celebrating his death, saying that he prayed for it.
Umar, who exited prison this week, addressed the media, bragging about how powerful his duas are. He noted that following their disagreements, he begged Ssegirinya to apologise to him, but he refused and, in turn, made mockery of him, saying that he was not authentic.
“Before I went to prison, I prayed for him because he had started it all. He brought a girl to my home and accused me of so many things I didn’t know about. I promised him that I would recite my dua but then he said I was a fake sheikh. Now that he is dead, social media should believe that I’m authentic.
Ssegirinya was pronounced dead in January last year after a long battle with illnesses. Umar denied directly having a hand in his death but acknowledged that it was an answered prayer from Allah.
“I just thank Allah because now everyone knows my prayers work. They called me fake but then my duas killed someone. I thank Allah for answering my prayers and I cannot deny his doing. I cannot apologise for that. I made a promise before the camera when he was still alive, that if Allah takes him off the face of this earth I will still call the media. I didn’t kill him but Allah did it. I just prayed for him to take him away,” he said.

He further claimed that he cried out to the deceased’s family, seeking their apology, but they ignored him. Despite social media finding his statements sensitive, especially to the grieving family, he vowed never to apologize.
“I can never apologise to his family. Instead they should come and apologise to me because he hurt me. I cried before the cameras begging his mother to apologise to me since his son had refused, they all paid no attention saying I was fake. They should look for me if they do not want the curse to follow their bloodline,” he said.
