Singer Ronald Alimpa has appealed to Ugandans for financial support following his release from prison, where he spent several weeks.
Alimpa, through a video shared on social media, gave his fans an update about his life after being arrested in Kasanje, where he engaged in a physical altercation that ended in imprisonment.
Following his release, Alimpa stated that he was left homeless after the landlord threw him out and damaged his property over four months’ rent arrears. At this point, he confessed that he had no single coin to start over and pleaded to netizens to support him not only financially but also with his music.
“I plead for your support. I released my new song narrating the things I have been through, my journey and how I had arranged my journey. I had just released my song ‘Seen Don’ but got in a terrible accident that affected me for over two years. As I was recovering, I was taken to jail for four months. I need your help. Everyone seeing my videos, please support my music and more. At this time, I’m stuck here with no hope, no direction, I have no phone. I’m homeless right now,” he said.

Alimpa had been arrested on ‘Public nuisance’ charges after he organized a show without seeking approval from security personnel.
