Musician Rema Namakula, wife to Dr. Hamza Ssebunya, has revealed that she doesn’t go to his husband for treatment.
While speaking to journalists, Rema Namakula noted that her husband, who is a gynaecologist, has never treated her in that field. She noted that she has her personal Gynaecologist who handles her.
In cases of simple illnesses, Dr. Hamza only provides guidance and advises Rema on the appropriate medical steps, which helped in avoiding paying consultation fees to doctors for a long time.
“Apart from the simple illnesses, I no longer pay consultation fees because he knows what I need for the illnesses. He is a gynaecologist, but not mine. I have my own gynaecologist,” she said.
One of the reasons for this, Rema Namakula says, Dr. Hamza chooses to stay away from handling matters relating to her sexual health because the law forbids it. This is because professional objectivity may be compromised when a family member is the patient.

“The medical laws do not allow doctors to handle their family members. Unless it is not something urgent and it doesn’t require him to involve himself so much. I stopped paying consultation fees because he handles that,” she bragged.
