Ugandan rapper Recho Rey has opened up about witchcraft in the music industry, saying she has done rituals to protect herself from the outcome.
Over the years, musicians have come out to speak about their personal struggles, attributing them to witchcraft from their rivals in the industry. Recho, during her recent TV interview, revealed she had never experienced witchcraft, describing herself as a spiritual person.
Because of this, she has had to practice some rituals, some through prayer and meditation, saying they have helped to shield her.
“I cannot tell if someone has really ever bewitched me but what I know is I’m a very spiritual person. I do as much as I can to protect myself spiritually. I have many rituals I do as a person like praying, meditating to protect myself from bad energies. Meaning even if someone goes ahead to bewitch me, I might never know because it will definitely bounce back to them,” she said.

Recho Rey, however, acknowledged that she has heard other artists’ experiences about witchcraft in the industry despite never having been a victim.

“I believe witchcraft is there in the music industry just like any other business. I have even seen interviews of artists speaking about it and their experiences,” she said.
