The family of the late Managing Director of the Ruparelia Group, Rajiv Ruparelia, who died in a motor accident, has announced his burial arrangements.
Rajiv Ruparelia, the son of renowned businessman Sudhir Ruparelia, died early on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
The accident happened at the roundabout section of the flyover at Busabala in Makindye-Ssabagabo, Wakiso District.
Rajiv’s car, a Nissan GTR, registration number UAT 638L, reportedly collided with temporary pavements installed at the site. The car then overturned and burst into flames, claiming his life.
Since then, the family’s friends and well-wishers have converged at Sudhir’s home in Kololo to pay their last respects.
Among the notable figures who have since attended the vigil are Hamis Kiggundu, Buganda Prime Minister Charles Peter Mayiga, Fresh Kid, Felista Di Supasta, Navio, and Hon Muhammad Nsereko.
Based on the official statement issued by the family, Rajiv Ruparelia will be cremated at the Hindu crematorium in Lugogo. This will occur on Tuesday, 6th May 2025, at 2.30 PM.

Ahead of his cremation, the vigil will be held at the Ruparelia residence in Kololo. The family has urged the general public to respect their privacy during this tough time of mourning their beloved one.
