Senior members of National Unity Platform (NUP) platform party headed by Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, on Thursday held a closed-door meeting with the titular head of Muslims in Uganda, today has been yet another milestone in the life of the National Unity Platform and the People Power Movement.
We were very humbled to meet His Highness Dr. Prince Kassim Nakibinge Kakungulu, who is also the Titular Head of Muslims in Uganda.
Prince Nakibinge has consistently been a voice that awakens the moral conscience of our nation. It’s been such a great pleasure to meet him and discuss several matters that touch our nation.
“Today has been yet another milestone in the life of the National Unity Platform and the People Power Movement. We were very humbled to meet His Highness Dr. Prince Kassim Nakibinge Kakungulu, who is also the Titular Head of Muslims in Uganda. Prince Nakibinge has consistently been a voice that awakens the moral conscience of our nation. It’s been such a great pleasure to meet him and discuss several matters that touch our nation,” Bobi Wine posted, without giving details.
Prince Nakibinge told journalists after the meeting that the two parties discussed how to galvanise NUP’s support base, the youth, as well as their ideology.
“We have discussed a lot of things including the ideology of NUP and several other matters of concern,” he said.
Bobi Wine’s NUP party has over last three weeks welcomed hundreds of defectors, especially from the Democratic Party and FDC.
