It has come to our attention that the National Resistance Movement (NRM) is giving out relief food to only selected individuals who are its members in Entebbe
At the beginning of the Covid 19 Lockdown in Uganda, President Museveni called upon Companies, NGOs as well as Individuals to come to the aid of Ugandans by donating food items, money, cars and other items.
To Which many responded and Tonnes of Food items that included Posho, Beans, Matooke, Eggs etc as well as cash.
This in addition to what was purchased by the Government was to be given out to Ugandans in different parts of the country but was somehow a failure as majority have failed to receive or get it.
Today, a whistle blower reached out to Entebbe News having seen on 3 different occasions NRM leaders in Entebbe distributing Food Clearly marked Not for Sale to some of its members instead of all people in Entebbe or even those the president considered heavily affected by the lock down.
A One Mr Mutyaba Moses, said to be the NRM Chairman Entebbe is said to be behind the project. Food is Sorted from his premises and then delivered to Selected members on a Special List of Paper.
A one Joshua Kuteesa, allegedly the NRM Youths Chairman Entebbe is said to be in charge of Food Distribution and was pictured in a car on one of his delivery runs.
When queried about the legality of what they were doing, they said they were donating relief food to Entebbe residents in partnership with Uganda Red cross.
However when the Whistle blower tried to take more photos of the said “Relief Food”, he was stopped raising queries about the legality and authenticity of that project.
