Nansana: Missing Boy’s Body Found in Septic Tank

Uganda Police in Nansana have arrested two suspects in connection to the murder of Bukenya Imran, 9, who disappeared on July 9,2022 as per the case report at the Wamala police post.

The two suspects are Ssemaganyi Eria and Ssalongo Bweseri who are detained at Nansana main station to help in investigations.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire, Police received information that an unidentified body was seen floating in a septic tank at the home of a one Eria Semaganyi.

“The Police responded with fire prevention and rescue services who retrieved the body which was in a decomposing state and a 20-litre jerrycan with suspected Kerosene which had been poured into the septic tank to disguise the smell of the decomposing body,” Owoyesigire said in a statement.

He noted that all items recovered have been exhibited.

“The body of the deceased child was later identified by the mother who told officers that the child disappeared while she had gone to Mulago hospital to give birth to the deceased’s sister on 9/07/2022,” he said.

The body has been conveyed to the city mortuary Mulago for Postmortem.
