Singer Nandor Love, real name Nantume Dorcus Tendo, is one of the few female artists who have been highly recognized for their fashion sense.
She is known for dressing as a tomboy, exhibiting typically male characteristics, and always making public appearances and on stage, clad in masculine outfits.
Speaking in a TV interview, Nandor was asked to explain the inspiration behind her tomboy lifestyle, and revealed that she has never dressed up skimpily because she is a staunch Adventist and her religion didn’t permit her to.
“I do not dress up in skimpy clothes because I’m a staunch Adventist. For all those who want to see me in dresses and that other side of me, you will see me in them at my concert,” Nandor Love said.

Describing her fashion and character traits of a tomboy, Nandor Love revealed that she felt comfortable putting on baggy jeans and shirts, as they made her feel comfortable. She emphasized that she wouldn’t bow down to people pressurizing her to change her fashion sense.

“Personally, as Nandor Love, I feel comfortable this way, and I do what I love. I do me and what I feel makes me happy, but not to please other people. If I do not like it, I do not put it on. In my closet, there is nothing like that; only boys’ fashions. I have no contemplation on that; that is me,” she said.
