Singer Mimi Kampala, real name Nassozi Michelle Bushira, has opened up about her dream to go back to school and pursue a professional career away from music.
Mimi Kampala, during her recent interview, revealed that she dropped out of school in her senior six and started doing odd jobs. She explored dancing, hairstyling, among other odd jobs before she officially kickstarted her music career a couple of years ago after being motivated by her family members.
Mimi stressed that she planned to go back to school to pursue a bachelor’s degree after cementing her place in the music industry.
With her career beginning to take shape, the singer revealed that she is not only focused on working hard but also on reaching the top and wouldn’t want to engage in anything that distracts her.
Despite not mentioning the programme she would be majoring in, Mimi made it clear that it needed all her attention and concentration, and it would be difficult to handle it side by side with music.

“I stopped in my F.6 but I’m planning on joining university if I get some breathing space. Right now I’m so focused in my career and do not want to engage in anything else. I want to first cement my place in the industry then go for school because what I want to study needs so much concentration,” she said.
