It was more than epic and spectacular at the Nkumba University as thousands of people gathered to rejoice at this years’ coronation celebrations. Kabaka Ronald Mutebi’s 26th coronation celebrations attracted a massive turn-up with a special invite of the Nigerian Sultan Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, the titular ruler of Sokoto in northern Nigeria as the chief guest.
His majesty started with a early morning drill around the Katabi village area before planting a historical tree at the Katabi town council headquarters with his guest before the big ceremony at Nkumba University that was attended by high profiled personalities including Uganda Vice President Edward Ssekandi, Members of parliament including Wakiso Woman Mp Rosemary Sseninde, Kyadondo East Mp Robert Kyangulanyi popularly known as Bobby Wine plus others.
President Museveni sent his special message thru his vice Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi with a fifty million shillings envelop to congratulate his majesty.
Lots of people including schools, corporate companies and individuals attended this year’s annual celebrations with congratulatory messenges thanking him for uniting the Buganda Kingdom
